Foundations for Improvement

Our Foundations course will introduce to you the concepts that support successful improvement efforts. We demonstrate the importance of understanding the cause of a problem, the danger of assumptions and how to focus your efforts identifying the factors that will help you drive real change.
We use a mix of real life examples, small group work and discussion to illustrate how these concepts translate into our day to day lives. *Please come with a problem or process you'd like to improve. You will have the opportunity to apply your learning to your own problem throughout the course.You will leave with: 
Ability to define value and describe it from your customer's perspective.Understanding of the 8 kinds of waste and practice spotting them in action.
Insight into the importance of investigating issues at the source and using open-ended questions to elicit better information.
Awareness of the Plan-Do-Check-Adjust cycle, a proven problem-solving methodology.
Understanding of how Organizational Excellence can provide support to you and your team.Session length: 2.5 hours
