Iowa-born singer-songwriter Dan Bern's music is topical, intelligent, and unpredictable. Dan tends to alternate between documenting the zeitgeist and writing about the personal concerns with which we all grapple, and he's overflowing with songs: his full-length albums often alternate with EPs that offer fascinating windows on his soul (his concerts are a good place to pick those up).
