Kris Allen was the season 8 winner on American Idol, and it's easy to see why. His voice has an easy, lived-in richness that doesn't come along every day, and he has a knack for hook-filled pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics that explore the ups and downs of love. Those talents were very much on Kris's self-titled debut album, which featured the 1.7 million-selling single (not bad in this day and age!) "Live Like We're Dying." On his new album, "Thank you Camellia," this Arkansas native co-wrote every song and was heavily involved through each stage of the writing, recording, and production process. And now, he's looking forward to bringing it to you, up close and personal at The Ark! VIP meet-and-greet tickets are available (use this link: goo.gl/xwVnG). Jillette Johnson opens the show! Her debut album, "Whiskey & Frosting," showcases a young songwriter with a very mature sense of artistic self.
