This presentation examines the relationship of artist Tyree Guyton and the Heidelberg Project, an outdoor art installation project at the heart of one of Detroit's most beleaguered neighborhoods, with the communities within which the project exists. Community engagement and the role of the museum in society is a highlighted theme.
