DESCRIPTION:Zoom link: https://umich.zoom.us/j/4637137460?omn=98817366784 \n\nEric Morier-Genoud\nInterests\nEric Morier-Genoud is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton (USA)\, where he completed his PhD on the Politics of the Roman Catholic Church in colonial Mozambique. He joined Queen's University in September 2008\, having spent the previous six years as a research and teaching fellow at the Universities of Oxford\, Lausanne and Basel (Switzerland). \n\nResearch Statement\nMy main research interests are in the history and politics of Africa\, the Portuguese-speaking world\, nationalism\, religion\, Christian missions\, war and conflict transformation. I am currently working on the jihadi insurgency in northern Mozambique\, on Irish missionaries in the world\, and the history of African students at Queen's University Belfast.
