Three panels will focus on issues such as the impact of arbitration clauses on class-action lawsuits and the role of damages in mass-tort litigation, securities class actions, and reforms to rules governing federal class action litigation.
Opening remarks March 15 will be provided by Michigan Law Prof. Ed Cooper, coauthor of Federal Practice & Procedure: Jurisdiction. A lunchtime keynote March 16 will be delivered by Prof. Cindy Schipani from Michigan's Ross School of Business and Terry Dworkin, of Indiana's Kelley School of Business.
