The author of “The Ultimate Betrayal: A Renewed Look at Intimate Partner Violence,” Tricia Bent-Goodley is Professor of Social Work and Chair of the Community, Administration and Policy Practice Sequence at Howard University School of Social Work. She has a passion for advancing social justice and human rights in relation to women’s development, violence against women, and issues impacting Black families and communities. Dr. Bent-Goodley’s research has focused on violence against women and girls, HIV prevention, and healthy relationship education. She has received the Council on Social Work Education’s National Award for Distinguished Achievement in Social Work Education.
