Singer-songwriter David Berkeley was born in New Jersey and has lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts (where he got a degree in literature and philosophy from Harvard), Alaska, Idaho (where he worked as a river-rafting guide), Brooklyn, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, and Corsica. Each of those places has left its mark on his sparse, exquisitely atmospheric guitar-based songs. David has been compared to both Cat and Sufjian Stevens as well as a host of other literate songwriters, and Insite Atlanta calls him "one of the undiscovered gems of the modern folk music scene. "David comes to Michigan with a new release, "Fire in My Head."
