Callaghan is a young songwriter from Boston—Boston, Lincolnshire, England, that is! In the summer of 2010 she boarded a plane headed for the American South, toting suitcases and a heap of songs. Shawn Mullins, for whom she opened at The Ark, calls her one of the greatest unsigned talents he's ever heard. Callaghan was classically trained on flute from age six. A fan of Mullins, she contacted him through social media. Many studio hours later, the result was the album "Life In Full Colour," which combined shades of folk, country, rock and pop into a seamless fusion of feeling and melody. Callaghan has a gift for putting her own experiences into universal terms, and she comes to Michigan with an acclaimed new release, "The History of Now."
