For more than a decade, Yodit Mesfin Johnson has been encouraging and inspiring greatness in people and organizations. This award winning, nationally recognized entrepreneur, speaker and activist juggles many responsibilities including using her voice to champion causes that promote equity and access for all people—especially women and people of color. In addition to her full time position as chief operating officer and vice president of strategy at NEW: Solutions for Nonprofits, Yodit is the founder of Lips and Hips, a socially conscious company that curates unique women's events, offers leadership coaching, and recently launched an organic lip gloss line.

Proud wife and doting mother, Yodit also serves as a mentor to an amazing group of young ladies at the Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program in Detroit. Together, they have co-launched a lip gloss line called Unstoppable. Proceeds from sales ensure the girls get to and stay in college after they graduate. You can also catch Yodit on Live In the D, a daily lifestyle show on NBC's affiliate station in Detroit. She proudly serves on the board of IHN at Alpha House in Ann Arbor and on several other committees and advisory boards in and around Detroit.
