An evening of music that celebrates both Eastern and Western musical traditions. Chinese and Korean music is united with music of Germany and America with compositions inspired by opera, dramatic storytelling, and the auspicious Chinese dragon. U-M professor, Jeffrey Lyman is a featured soloist and the concert closes with a transcription of Hindemith’s most famous composition.
