Humans first communicated through the use of sounds, then images and then text. People now express themselves through radio frequencies, electromagnetic fields, pixels, broadband, and data. "I Don't Speak" is a visual exploration of this evolution. It combines the dynamic beauty and history of past vocabulary systems as a means to marvel at the complex, hushed, and more universal language that humans are generating today.

Keaton Fox is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work documents, distorts, reflects, and explores the digital disarray of the modern world. Fueled by child-like fascination and frustrations, Fox combines the physical and digital elements of humans, nature, and technology to create visual experiments that investigate the varied realities of the Information Age. Her work has been exhibited nationally, internationally, online and offline. She lives and works in Detroit.
