This performance is part of the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance Community Outreach Performance Series. Violist Joseph Chung is pursuing a dual master’s degree in Chamber Music & Performance. A pioneer of expanding virtuosic viola repertoire, Chung works with composers and arrangers to transcribe and revise pieces for the viola. He has performed concertos with the Bellflower Symphony and Collegium Musicum Chamber, and chamber concerts with the Calidore and Telegraph Quartets. A Mandell Collection Artist, Chung performs on a 1837 Alessandro D’Espine viola from the collection.
