Artist Katerina Stefanidaki will give a presentation on her monumental series of drawings to Jim Cogswell’s class “Sequential Images in Painting.”  All are welcome to attend.

Her presentation will focus on the way that she constructs and dismantles representations of the urban environment as well as outdoor landscapes in her monumental drawing installations. She will discuss in particular the role of the viewer in constructing perceptions of the environment in acts of active engagement with her images. 

Katerina Stefanidaki lives and works in Athens, Greece.  Her work consists of large drawings and landscape designs.  She has presented two major solo shows in Athens with the titles: “Patission 179” and “This is the Place, Gentlemen!”
