Gabe Kitayama-Bolkosky featuring the Phoenix Quartet - The Art of the String Quartet
The Fair Lane Music Guild concludes its 2017-2018 concert season with Gabe Kitayama-Bolkosky featuring the Phoenix Quartet, in performance at 7:30 pm. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Fair Lane Music Guild’s weeknight concerts will continue its popular format of café seating (which gives us the opportunity to offer dessert concerts). Doors will open and service will begin one half hour prior to the concerts.
Fair Lane–The Home of Clara and Henry Ford is currently closed for renovations, but thanks to the generosity of the Historic Ford Estates and the University of Michigan-Dearborn, the Fair Lane Music Guild is being allowed to use the Pool Room for this concert.
Guild favorite Gabe Kitayama-Bolkosky is known for his versatility and sensitivity as a violinist and has been praised for his ability to "take audiences into his confidence and include them." For this concert Gabe will be filling the role of viola alongside wonderful musicians Nurit Pacht (violin), Steffani Kitayama-Bolkosky (violin) and Laura Usiskin (cello). Gabe is the executive director of The Phoenix Ensemble, a nonprofit organization dedicated to being a musical resource for artists and educational institutions, and directs the annual chamber music festivals PhoenixPhest and PhoenixPhest Grande. He also maintains a private violin studio in Ann Arbor.
The concert is generously sponsored by Ms. Cecilia Benner, and the dessert table is sponsored by Park Place Catering of Dearborn.
