First Generation Symposium: Blazing a Trail to First-Gen Success
First Generation Symposium: Blazing a Trail to First–Gen Success will engage the campus in valuable dialogue on promoting the success of first-generation students. Informed by student input, staff, faculty, and campus leaders can expect to enrich their understanding of supporting and celebrating first-generation students at University of Michigan. This year, the symposium encompasses four components throughout the workshops, panel, and the working sessions: understanding first-generation students and their intersecting identities; teaching and advising; data, evaluation, and assessment; and admission, retention, and graduate success
The day-long symposium is on November 7 from 10AM-4:30PM at various locations in Rackham. The deadline to register for the First Gen Symposium is by November 2. Registration is at no cost but is required. Visit our registration page to learn more: https://myumi.ch/aAb0W
