The Division of Student Affairs Professional Development Conference Committee is pleased to announce this year’s theme and details pertaining to the Annual Professional Development Conference on Thursday, June 14th.

There are many reasons why we as professionals engage and connect through social media, technology, with colleagues, for students, and with Michigan.

This year’s theme “What do you Connect For” will explore connectivity and technology. In a multi-generational division the thoughts on new technology, ways of connecting with people and student, and energy used to keep with the world around us differs in theory to practice. As a way to leverage personal relationships, available networks, technology, uses, and a healthy maintenance of self the conference aims at engaging participants in a healthy discussion about technology fears, technology successes, barriers that keep us from making and maintain relationships (connecting) at work, how others have successfully built the kind of trust that leads to organizational success.
