Once you look around the museum, you’ll notice we have a lot of lamps on display! On this short Artifact Exploration mini-tour, we’ll take a deeper look at the many kinds of lamps used in the ancient world. We’ll answer some common questions like, What’s up with those pointy glass lamps? What were lamps usually made of? And, Did anyone use candles?

Saturday Sampler tours are free and open to all visitors. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend this tour, please contact the education office (734-647-4167) at least two weeks in advance. We ask for advance notice as some accommodations may require more time for the University to arrange.
