She has appeared as soloist with major orchestras including Munich, Sydney, Lyon, Hong Kong, and the Metropolitan Opera. Rika Fujii is an active percussionist in Tokyo. She performs frequently in theatrical and orchestral settings as well as being heavily involved in Taiko drumming.
