This exhibit highlights some of the fascinating and meaningful discrepancies evident from Faulkner\u2019s manuscripts to his publisher\u2019s galleys and between various print editions of his most famous novels.\r\n\r\nItems are from the Irwin T. and Shirley Holtzman Collection of William Faulkner, which is a comprehensive collection of published Faulkner materials. Many first editions of books and short stories will be on display as well as original University of Mississippi yearbook illustrations, and reproductions of manuscripts. The exhibit focuses on the complex editorial history of Faulkner's work, including his approach to revision (including alterations he made to his stories and characters between different forms of publication and different editions).
