Many of his cartoons that were published in the 1940s have such a timeless message that they could have been published in 2011.\r\n\r\nIn a 1943 Federated Press survey, Yoman was voted \"most popular cartoonist in the labor press today\" by AFL (American Federation of Labor), CIO (Congress of Industrial Organizations) and Railroad Brotherhood editors.
