The twenty-three photographs in the exhibition, drawn from UMMA\u2019s collections, show the artist\u2019s ability to synthesize a personal\u2014even nationalistic\u2014style that merged the motifs of Mexican religious and indigenous works and plant forms (such as agave leaves) with a Modernist approach to image making. Because the work evolves based on whatever content is available online at any given moment, the artist relinquishes a certain degree of creative control.
