Life-size robotic models will also be presented in the exhibition in conversation with the drawings. The current study aimed to examine the psychometric properties of the Yale Food Addiction Scale for Children 2.0 (YFAS-C 2.0) to see if the updated criteria are appropriate for examining food addiction in children and adolescents. After examining the endorsement of individual symptoms on the YFAS-C2.0 in a community sample of adolescents ages 13-16, we determined that many of the updated, problem-focused criteria in the DSM-5 are not endorsed by adolescents. Therefore, we created a dimensional version of the scale including only those items endorsed by more than 10% of the sample. The dimensional version of the scale demonstrated expected convergent validity with previously validated measures of maladaptive eating and also demonstrated strong internal reliability. Further, the items included on the dimensional version were more reflective of the mechanistic aspects of food addiction, including craving, the inability to cut down on certain foods, and eating more than originally intended. This recent acquisition presentation features the poster Rand created as part of IBM\u2019s THINK promotional campaign. The design is a rebus, or visual puzzle, wherein Rand cleverly transforms the letters of IBM\u2019s logo into pictures. Second, through an examination of Black Lives Matter and Women\u2019s rights movements on Twitter, I investigate the heterogeneity in participation intensity and protester type. I propose that even in the same objective circumstances, people can perceive themselves and others as either merely engaging in a series of actions (a neutral action mindset) or making a series of choices (a choice mindset). Going beyond the benefits of actual choices for task-specific motivation, my research shows that activating the choice mindset can have a broad range of downstream consequences in diverse unrelated domains. When judging others, people in a choice mindset put responsibility on the individual rather than on contextual factors, thus becoming more susceptible to the fundamental attribution error and being more likely to blame the victim. People in a choice mindset put responsibility for societal problems, such as wealth inequality, primarily on individuals (e.g., \u201crich people make good choices, poor people made bad choices\u201d) rather than on the context (e.g., such as regressive tax systems). People in a choice mindset think more analytically rather than holistically, focusing on the parts of a phenomenon rather than the whole. The choice mindset helps people cope with distressing events, helping them positively reappraise the situation through the lens of choice and thus experience lower negative emotions.
