These are three of the 21 photos-with-narratives that constitute \u201cHineinu \u2013 Here We Are: An LGBTQ+ Jewish Photovoice Exhibit.\u201d Combined with rich, thought-provoking text, these photos give insight into the varied experiences of local community members who are both Jewish and queer.\r\n\r\n\u201cPhotovoice\u201d is the process of putting cameras in the hands of traditionally \u201cvoiceless\u201d or marginalized community members to allow them to record, reflect on, and share their community\u2019s strengths and concerns. Experience an intimate performance and conversation with jazz legend Arturo Sandoval. \r\n\r\nA prot\u00e9g\u00e9 of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, Arturo Sandoval was born in Artemisa, a small town in the outskirts of Havana, Cuba, on November 6, 1949, just two years after Gillespie became the first musician to bring Latin influences into American Jazz. Arturo began studying classical trumpet at the age of twelve, but it didn\u2019t take him long to catch the excitement of the jazz world. He has since evolved into one of the world\u2019s most acknowledged guardians of jazz trumpet and flugelhorn, as well as a renowned classical artist, pianist and composer. He desires nothing more than to share his gift with others who feel the same intense adoration for music as he does.\r\n\r\nExecutive Chef Louis Goral will prepare a preview of the Blue LLama Jazz Club\u2019s culinary offerings, featuring gourmet shareables inspired by jazz music and his own culinary journey.
