Representing concepts of time, memory, openness and constraint, the pieces are created with traditional methods, using scissors and simple die-cutting tools; cross-disciplinary techniques, such as weaving and tatting used in fiber arts; and technologies like laser cutting machines. There are two series of paper nests: one created entirely without the use of adhesive, and the other involves tatting with knots.
