Michigan is also the top state for both automotive and parts imports and exports\u2014trade is critically important to the health of the industry and the state.\r\n\r\nA lot has changed in the industry\u2019s first hundred or so years, though trade remains critically important. Automotive competition is global\u2014with long and complicated supply chains that stretch around the world in support of the automotive sector. \r\n\r\nThis presentation by Kristin Dziczek will provide an overview of Michigan's largest manufacturing sector in the context of current U.S. trade policies and negotiations.\r\n\r\nKristin Dziczek is Vice President - Research at the Center for Automotive Research. Though we have developed policies such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement, and we have made substantial progress on the use of renewable energy, atmospheric carbon dioxide emissions continue to increase. Therefore, the evidence suggests we will not disrupt the observed climate trends in the foreseeable future.\r\n\r\nFor the past decade, Dr. Rood has been part of a team of social scientists, climatologists, and practitioners focused on the usability of climate knowledge. From this work, we have developed models of engagement to advance usability.
