SUMMARY:Social / Informal Gathering:Sign Up for the Community Matters Cohort Program
DESCRIPTION:University of Michigan students tell us that making friends and finding community are some of the most rewarding aspects of their time on campus but COVID-19 has made these things more challenging to do. You are invited to join the Community Matters Cohort Program which provides a space for students to meet others and participate in regular social events. Program participants will be matched with a small group of other students who are interested in finding community. Cohort groups will meet weekly for one hour via zoom and will have the opportunity to meet students from other cohorts throughout the Winter semester. \n \nThose interested in participating in the Community Matters Cohort Program should sign up by January 21st\, 2021 at 11:59pm. Cohort assignments will be announced by January 25th\, 2021 and the program will run from February 1st - April 18th\, 2021. Each participant submits their writing online to all other participants in advance of the Friday meeting. On Friday\, January 8th\, 2021 at 12:00pm ET special guest Scott Lantis will be on hand to speak on his career\, what he does in his current position and much more!!\n\nScott Lantis is the Marketing Manager for the Denver Broncos. He has worked with the Broncos for the last seven seasons\, beginning as a Marketing & Sponsorship intern in June of 2014. Hired on full time in August of 2014 as Coordinator of Promotions and Special Events\,Scott's main responsibilities included fan engagement events and promotions. He also was co-lead on the Denver Broncos Super Bowl 50 Championship branding campaign. In 2018 he transitioned to the role of Marketing Managerand handles media sales inventory and executes multi-platform marketing strategies for Broncos fans. He also assists with game day entertainment and manages interns.\n\nWe will be streaming the program LIVE on the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Facebook page and will take questions from studentsthroughout the program.
