A Grammy nominee for Best Country Instrumental in 2001, he has recorded and played live with Elvis Costello, Emmylou Harris, Dan Hicks, Maria Muldaur, Hoyt Axton, Hazel Dickens, Gene Vincent and Link Wray. He has toured the world and Nick Lowe. His latest disc, The Proper Years is out on The Last Music co label.\r\n \r\nRedd was born in B.C. Canada. After years of traveling his homeland, at 26 he moved to the US to try his hand in the scene down here.\r\n \r\nStarting in San Jose\/Santa Cruz, then L.A., back and forth to Nevada, Texas for a summer, and Nashville for 11 years, all before settling in Austin TX for the last 16 years. He now calls Gale, Virginia, his home.\r\nRedd won a Grammy for his own work in 2009, after making an international name for himself as lead guitarist with the great country legend Merle Haggard.
