Southfield, Michigan based artist Diane Núñez blends her knowledge of landscape architecture with fiber to create three-dimensional fiber sculptures. She starts with a sketchbook, then she hand dyes, cuts and embellishes her fabric. Finally, she assembles it all with a sewing machine to showcase her repetitive, gridded structures. Núñez exhibits her award winning work nationally, and her work can be found in many private collections and publications.
