DESCRIPTION:Join Project Community\, Survivors Speak\, and Michigan Innocence Club for the 2026 Wrongful Conviction Summit.\n\nThis free\, public event will explore wrongful convictions and inequalities within the criminal legal system through the firsthand experiences of exonerees\, families of the wrongfully convicted\, and community advocates.\n\nKeynote speaker Wendell L. Brown Sr. will share his journey from professional athlete to author\, philanthropist\, and nonprofit founder following his wrongful imprisonment in China.\n\nThe summit will feature fireside chats\, a Q&A panel\, and opportunities to connect with local organizations that advocate against mass incarceration.\n\nDoors open at 6:30 PM. Dinner will be provided while supplies last.\n\nThis event is co-sponsored by the U-M Department of Sociology\, Ginsberg Center\, Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation\, and Carceral State Project.
