DESCRIPTION:Multiple Grammy-winning American composer Michael Daugherty has served on the faculty of the University of Michigan's School of Music\, Theatre & Dance for over 30 years. As his tenure here comes to a close\, the Symphony Band celebrates his remarkable musical legacy with a concert of original music for band composed by Daugherty over the past quarter century. Highlights include his concerti for timpani and trombones\, the world-famous \"Bells for Stokowski\" and a new setting of his \"Cadillac Ranch\" co-commissioned by the Symphony Band with the support of the H.
