SUMMARY:Performance:Symphony Band
DESCRIPTION:There are few American composers\, living or past\, whose music is more widely recognized and loved than John Williams. With countless pieces written for stage and screen\, American icons and legendary events\, Williams' music is the soundtrack of the American spirit. His music for film has taken on a life of its own well beyond the movies for which his melodies were composed\, and he has conducted the greatest orchestras the world over. Now in his 92nd year\, the Symphony Band celebrates the inimitable legacy of John Williams and his music\, and this all-Williams program will also pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of the release of the very first *Star Wars* movie.\n\nJason Fettig\, conductor\n\nPROGRAM\n*The Star Spangled Banner*\, John Williams\nMarch from \"Superman\"\, John Williams / trans.
