DESCRIPTION:Yidi Wu is the O’Briant Developing Professor and Associate Professor of History at Elon University. Her first book\, Student Activism Across Borders: China and the Communist World in the Late 1950s\, is published by Cambridge University Press. She has written journal articles for Twentieth-Century China\, PRC History Review\, and Education About Asia. Her research has been supported by the National Academy of Education / Spencer Foundation\, the American Council of Learned Societies\, the Association for Asian Studies\, among others. She is a Public Intellectuals Program fellow of the National Committee on US-China Relations.\n\nThis event presented by the Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies.
