DESCRIPTION:Stories of Home invites community members to come together for an inspiring afternoon of creativity\, connection\, and personal storytelling.\n\nPresented by Every Soul Arts as a companion program to the Sofa Stories performance and film screening\, this interactive workshop transforms the Ypsilanti Freighthouse into a welcoming space for reflection\, conversation\, and shared narratives.\n\nLed by the artists behind Sofa Stories\, the event begins with a hands-on storytelling session designed to help participants craft and shape their own personal stories. The program then transitions into a community stage where attendees are invited to share short stories inspired by the theme of Home\, whether it’s a place they’ve left behind\, a sanctuary they’ve found\, or a sense of belonging they’ve created for themselves.\n\nWhether you choose to share a story or simply listen\, Stories of Home offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with others\, celebrate diverse experiences\, and experience the power of storytelling to build empathy and community.
