SUMMARY:Performance:The Skin Of Our Teeth
DESCRIPTION:Thornton Wilder’s The Skin of Our Teeth follows the Antrobus family—George\, Maggie\, their children Henry and Gladys\, and their maid Sabina—as they survive a series of disasters representing humanity’s struggles throughout history. The family first survives an Ice Age\, then a devastating flood\, and finally a destructive war that leaves them facing the challenge of rebuilding civilization. Throughout the play\, the characters break the fourth wall and acknowledge that they are part of a play\, emphasizing its themes of human resilience\, repetition\, and the tendency to make the same mistakes. Ultimately\, the Antrobuses represent humanity’s ability to endure and rebuild despite constant destruction.
