DESCRIPTION:MPSDS JPSM Seminar Series\nMPSDS M3 Series: Mastery\, Methodology\, Meetups\n\nIn person\, room 1070\, Institute for Social Research and via Zoom. \n\nAdding Modes without Subtracting Quality: Survey Data Collection in Low and Middle-income Countries\n\nThe growth of mobile phones and internet connection in low and middle-income countries (LMIC) may mean that survey data collection in LMIC can advance from face-to-face surveys to additional modes such as web or cell phone surveys. During this seminar\, you will learn which modes are feasible in which contexts with a particular focus on mobile phone surveys.\n\nDr. Abigail (Abba) Greenleaf is a public health demographer whose research focuses on (1) women’s reproductive health across geographies and the lifespan and\; (2) intensive longitudinal data collection. By integrating these areas\, she is creating innovative findings for international sexual and reproductive health population sciences. She enjoys leveraging innovative data collection approaches to generate high-frequency\, cost- efficient population data for public health action.
