SUMMARY:Reception / Open House:Printing the Divine Comedy in the Renaissance
DESCRIPTION:Explore early printed editions of Dante’s Divine Comedy from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Many of these remarkable books feature scholarly commentaries and striking illustrations. Together\, they reveal how Dante’s masterpiece was read\, studied\, and shared across early modern Europe.\n\nJoin us in the Special Collections Research Center (on the 6th floor of Hatcher) for Third Thursdays at the Library\, a themed monthly open house where we share materials from our collections. While you’re here\, pick up a passport and collect a stamp from each of the four Third Thursday Open Houses — Asia Library\, Clark Library\, International Studies\, and Special Collections Research Center — to win a poster.
