DESCRIPTION:Dance ethnologist Peter Paul De Guzman and ethnomusicologist Bernard Ellorin\, Ph.D.\, will be giving a four-hour workshop on music and dances from the Muslim Societies of the Southern Philippines. This hands-on participatory workshop will focus on the Maranao and Sama-Tausug known for their rich dance and music vocabulary rooted in living traditions that are celebratory in nature.
