Square-tilings of modular curves X(d) and Teichmueller curves in genus 2

In my talk, I will define certain conformal flat metrics on modular curves X(d) presenting them as a bunch of unit squares identified along parallel edges. In particular, we will see "pagoda" structures of X(d) that arise in the case of prime d. I will discuss these structures in more detail and relate them to the classification of Teichmueller curves in M_2. Speaker(s): Eduard Duryev (Harvard University)
