All of us have fundamental needs of being heard, feeling like we make a contribution, feeling supported and encouraged in what we do, and knowing we are appreciated and valued. In addition, being present, practicing active listening, and affirming and adding (yes and!) without judgment allow our relationships to be stronger and more effective.
This active workshop fosters innovation, risk taking, and inclusion by engaging participants in activities based on improvisational theater. Participants will work on developing skills in enhancing presence, active listening, and story-telling.
Attendees at this workshop will actively participate in exercises from Improv to explore strategies for active listening, cooperation, generosity, comfort with spontaneity, and responsiveness to unexpected situations. Our time will be spent doing activities, then reflecting together to debrief.
