After his triumph at the 11th International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1998, Denis Matsuev has become a virtuoso in the grandest of Russian pianistic traditions and has established himself as one of the most prominent pianists of his generation. His third recital and sixth performance since his 2010 UMS debut features a program of virtuosic works by Liszt and Tchaikovsky.
