Student Dynamics Seminar

Anosov diffeomorphisms and Anosov flows

Anosov diffeomorphisms and flows are very important in hyperbolic dynamics. In this talk, we will give an introduction to them and discuss some examples (e.g. geodesic flows on compact Riemannian manifolds with negative sectional curvature). If time permits, we will also introduce Anosov closing lemma and some further results. Speaker(s): Yuping Ruan (UM)
