The in-person workshop will be a mixture of short lectures providing background and hands-on programming. The workshop will be 1/2 day (4 hours, including breaks and snacks!)
Topics we will cover include 1) Using the tidyverse, 2) Data visualization using ggplot2, 3) Spatial data. The workshop will be led by EEB postdoc, Max Hesselbarth, with help from EEB grad students.
Regardless of the specific topics, we assume that you have basic knowledge and understanding of the R programming language. Please note, that the workshop will have a strong focus on the programming part and not on the statistical/methodological backgrounds.
The workshop is open to EEB Grad Students but there is still space. If others want to join, please email kmunster@umich.edu and mhessel@umich.edu.
