SUMMARY:Other:From Flowers to Finals: Pollinator Craft Day
DESCRIPTION:The Planet Blue Ambassador Program is inviting U-M community members to craft pipe cleaner flowers while learning more about native wildflowers and the importance of pollinators on campus. Organizations including the Office of Campus Sustainability\, LSA Sustainability\, Nature Rx\, and the Seed Library will be tabling in the LSA Atrium\, allowing students to engage within initiatives that U-M is implementing to support native plants and pollinators. The Lab Reuse Program will also be providing gently-used lab flasks that participants can use to hold flowers. Take a break from finals and enjoy this opportunity to relax and get creative!\n\nThe event is free and open to any U-M community member\, but registration is strongly encouraged. Please email pba-information@umich.edu with questions or if you are no longer able to join this event after registering.

DESCRIPTION:Join fellow staff\, students\, and faculty for an energizing break which will introduce the positive effects of being in nature on our social and emotional well-being. With facilitator guidance\, participants will:\n\n-Practice mindful attention and appreciation for the natural environment.\n-Learn how to refresh your energy and reduce stress by being outside.\n-Cultivate a sense of awe\, curiosity\, connection\, and wonder.\n-Learn how to use the Nature Rx resources in the Michigan App.\n\nWednesday\, April 15\, 2026\n4-4:45 p.m. \nMeeting location: Ingalls Mall-South (the area between the School of Kinesiology and the Chemistry Building). Look for guides near the Diag flagpole holding \"A Breath of Fresh Air\" signs.\n\nAn additional session will be held on June 3--sign up for more information.\n\nWe will learn how to appreciate nature in all its forms\, and this session will be held rain\, snow\, or shine. Please note that this session requires moving or walking outdoors over a distance of approximately a quarter-mile. Options will be provided for those who wish to sit or explore at their own pace and ability. Please wear comfortable attire and dress for the weather.
