Hosted by Shelley Manis from U-M LSA’s Sweetland Center for Writing.\n\nThis edition of Writer to Writer features a conversation with Ashley Lucas and Phil Christman.\n\nAshley Lucas teaches theatre at the University of Michigan\, where she also serves at the Director of the Latina/o Studies Program and the Former Director of the Prison Creative Arts Project. Her book Prison Theatre and the Global Crisis of Incarceration describes the ways that incarcerated theatre makers use performance to change their lives. Phil Christman is a Lecturer II in English at University of Michigan and the author of Midwest Futures and How to Be Normal: Essays.
