DESCRIPTION:Join us as we welcome Mary Milkey CNM for the Health Equity Leadership Series\, hosted by the Office of Health Equity and Inclusion at the University of Michigan School of Nursing.\n\nThe goal of the Health Equity Leadership Series is to bring together members of the UM community to engage in critical thinking\, learning\, and dialogue about topics in health equity. Each month we welcome scholars and organizational leaders who are looking seriously at questions around health equity within Nursing and healthcare to share their expertise. Following the speaker's presentation\, audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions for our speakers.\n\nOn February 16th\, we will be welcoming Mary Milkey CNM of the Von Voigtlander Gynecology Clinic for Adolescents and Women with Disabilities. Mary graduated from midwifery school in 2006 and has provided full scope midwifery since then.  She has been with the University of Michigan Nurse Midwifery Service since 2011.  She enjoys working with women of all ages and backgrounds to promote healthy lifestyles and pregnancies.  Mary loves the bond that develops between a woman and her midwife and enjoys nurturing this relationship throughout life.  Mary also has a special passion for working with women with special needs and in safe motherhood for women across the globe. \n\n** This event is in collaboration with the UMSN Disability Nurses Association. **\n\nAll UM students\, faculty\, staff\, and alumni are welcome.
