Dinner will also be served so participants can engage in an Iftar together with the students who are fasting for Ramadan!Amanda Adhami - Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults and adolescents that struggle with issues of mental health and substance use. She received her Master’s in social work from IUPUI School of Social Work\, with a concentration in Mental Health and Addictions\, and her bachelor’s in social work from Indiana University Bloomington (IUB). She began working in the addiction field as an intern and has over 8 years of experience working with adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds. Amanda has experience working as a school counselor\, and she continues to work as an adjunct instructor at IUB teaching substance use and diversity courses at the Bachelor and Master level. Amanda received extensive training in treating gambling addictions and is a Certified International Co-Occurring Gambling Specialist. She holds certificates in Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and utilizes this as well as other evidence-based practices (including Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy\, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help individuals achieve their goals and live healthier lives. Amanda is passionate about community service\, social justice\, building interfaith connections\, and serving at her Mosque. Sara Alazemi - Sara is a Master's student in Social Work at the IUPUI School of Social Work\, with a concentration in Community Development (Leadership)\, graduating in May 2023. She will join the PhD program in Fall 2023 at IUSSW. She has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Kuwait University. She also obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Kuwait University\, and her master's thesis was on social factors of deviant behavior among high school students in Kuwait. Sara has experience as a school social worker\, for nine years\, before going to complete her postgraduate studies at Kuwait University. She has experience in academic teaching at Kuwait University in teaching bachelor's level students. Also\, She has worked in the addiction field as an intern at the addiction treatment center in Kuwait. In addition\, she had experience counseling adolescents and families in a private counseling center in Kuwait. Currently\, Sara plans to complete her postgraduate studies in the United States after obtaining a scholarship from Kuwait University to study for a master's and PhD there. Then\, she will be appointed as a university teacher at Kuwait University\, College of Social Sciences\, Department of Social Work. DESCRIPTION:Morgan James is a Juilliard-trained singer\, actress\, songwriter and recording artist in New York City. Morgan recently co-produced and starred in an all-female concept recording of “Jesus Christ Superstar” entitled “She Is Risen.\" She independently released her studio albums of original soul music\, entitled Memphis Magnetic and A Very Magnetic Christmas\, recorded to analog tape in Memphis\, Tennessee. Other albums include \"Reckless Abandon\,\" which prompted the Huffington Post to call MJ the Brightest Breakout Artist of the Year. Last year\, Morgan took on a full-album cover of the Beatles’ iconic White Album to celebrate the 50th anniversary\; available on CD\, vinyl\, digital and full length concept video on her YouTube channel. She also took on Joni Mitchell’s Blue and covered it in its entirety.
