DESCRIPTION:.\n \nUMMA and Arts at Michigan celebrate Welcome Week by introducing new University of Michigan students to the Museum of Art for an evening of  live music\, performances\, dance\, poetry\, film\, games\, prize raffle\, and a variety of art-making activities.  During the event\, students will  have the opportunity to become familiar with the Museum and everything it has to offer\, as well as experience the wide array of possibilities for arts participation across campus. \n \nAll students\, faculty and staff on the Ann Arbor (including Michigan Medicine)\, Dearborn and Flint campuses are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit their vaccination information by August 30. Explore the heavens during one of our astronomy nights. Open houses involve presentations on a range of fascinating astronomical phenomena\, instruction on the telescopes\, and\, when weather permits\, observing with our beautiful historic Fitz telescope as well as modern supplemental telescopes.\n\nPlease note: astronomy events at the Observatory take place even if the weather does not permit observing. We strive to always have interesting things for you to do. Tickets are required\, and open house registrations are capped at 100 guests. You can arrive anytime from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
