SUMMARY:Workshop / Seminar:Psychological Safety & Accessible Conflict Management
DESCRIPTION:How do we foster an inclusive work environment where employees feel heard and safe to share\, even during times of disagreement? Join the LSA Faculty and Staff Disability Navigators as they unravel the art of fostering psychologically safe communication and accessible conflict management within the workplace. This workshop will explore the nuances of exchanging ideas and providing feedback in professional settings\, including strategies for communicating with folks across different neurotypes\, disabilities\, and diverse lived experiences. Come along—all perspectives are respected and welcomed as we learn and grow together!\n\nParticipants will:\n1. Learn how different communication styles may be perceived during conflicts or disagreements based upon neurotype\, disability status\, and lived experience.\n2. Explore ways to turn conflict into constructive learning experiences that can enhance both personal and team development.\n3. Obtain advice on how to accessibly approach performance management conversations.\n4. Leave with a guide to addressing conflict in psychologically safe workspaces and additional psychological saftey resources.\n\nAudience: This is a beginner-level workshop open to any LSA employee\, including our student employees. LSA employees receive priority access\, so while external guests are welcome to register they will be waitlisted and moved off the waitlist as space allows.\n\nFormat: This workshop will be conducted virtually on Zoom. Camera use will be optional. Auto-captioning will be enabled and slides will be shared during and following the workshop. Discussion will be facilitated via the chat function and interested participants will be invited to unmute themselves. There will be time for questions and participants will have the option to submit anonymously via the Q&A function.
