SUMMARY:Performance:Tommy Prine
DESCRIPTION:John Prine’s son\, ready for prine time!\n\nTommy Prine picked up a guitar at age ten and started picking melodies. Though he has crafted his own unique sound over the years\, he learned from observing one of the best. He is the son of the late legendary multi Grammy award-winning artist\, John Prine. And there is a certain physical resemblance! The hallmarks of Tommy’s sound come from his unique finger-picking style combined with soul-stirring songwriting. His songs pull inspiration from childhood adventures in the creek with his big brother\, to losing his father at the beginning of the pandemic\, falling in love\, and everything in between. Tommy’s debut album\, “This Far South\,” was recorded during the pandemic in 2021 and has just been released. We are excited to present Tommy Prine in his Ark debut! Kentucky singer-songwriter Jordan Smart opens.\n\nPlease visit https://mutotix.umich.edu/4129/4130 for more detail.
